Ask a machine tender how much retention aid the paper machine needs and you'll get a number set months or years ago. But charge demand isn't static: it moves with furnish, broke ratio, filler load and season. Fixed dosing means you're overdosed half the time and underdosed the rest.

An online charge analyzer turns that guesswork into a control loop. Measure the wet-end charge demand continuously, dose against it, and the machine settles: fewer breaks, less fiber in the whitewater, and chemical spend that tracks actual need instead of worst-case habit.

We build both sides of this equation — the analyzers and the chemistry they control — which teaches an honest lesson: sometimes the right answer is less chemical, dosed better. The instrument that tells you so pays for itself faster than any drum of polymer.
